  A friend and I were a walk-in to this lovely little restaurant Friday and were quite satisfied . Initially the menu was a little confusing , but the server took the time to advise us on some combinations we might enjoy . On arrival the food was gorgeous ..10 for presentation . The food itself was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised how little we needed to fill up and enjoyed our slow-food experience . Would definately go again .

  Simply put, phenomenal!. I went to Bacaro on Valentine’s Day with my hubby and another couple. This night, because it was a special night, the menu was different then the norm, offering 4 courses with wine pairings for each if desired. Since the 4 courses had 2 options, we decided to try everything. It was my first experience having mussels, let me just say Amazing!! The couple we were with are mussel fanatics and they swear they are the BEST in Kelowna hands down! The entire meal was fantastic as were the wine pairings! The service was also terrific, not that we paid too much attention being distracted by the glorious food…but the timing of each course was great! You MUST go and check this place out!!

  Highly Recommended. My fianc and I were looking to have a quiet, romantic dinner in downtown Kelowna, and a friend had recommended we try Bacaro. Loved it!The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff was very attentive and answered any questions we had about the menu.We started our dinner with the Daily Cheese, 243 Salumi, and Smoked Olives. I love cheese. Any cheese. So pair that with herb crostini and salumi, and I am in heaven. Olives are not on my list of favourites (my fianc ordered them..). Typically, I find them to be too salty, but these were delicious. Smoked with a little bit of orange zest. Excellent combination of flavours and definitely worth a try.After the starters, we ordered the Bison Carpaccio, Feature Arancini, and Spiced Lamb Meatballs. The feature arancini that day was made with artichoke and asiago cheese. Again with the cheese. Delicious. The lamb meatballs were certainly the favourite. Perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The mint in the pistou was subtle, not overbearing, providing the perfect compliment to the lamb. In all, we found the dishes to be very well presented and just enough to satisfy, but not leave you feeling stuffed. The drink menu was a little intimidating due to the prices ($11) and variety of cocktails (I usually stick to wine), but we decided to order one to get the full experience. At the server’s recommendation, we ordered a drink that was made with gin and egg whites (the other ingredients I cannot remember at the moment). I wish I knew how it was made because it was excellent. The flavours were blended together so nicely and the egg whites gave it a rich texture.The tapas style dining make this an excellent place to try if you’re on a date or dining with friends because it allows you to be sociable while sharing a variety of flavourful dishes. Highly recommended and we will certainly be returning.

  Amazing Food and Service. We were in Kelowna on vacation from the U.K. and came across this lively tapas bar, serving the most delicious food. We were unsure of what to choose and the staff were really helpful in advising us in what to select and how much. The service was excellent, with any empty dishes being cleared straight away, but without us feeling rushed. The food is delicious and there is such a variety to choose from. The cost of the food and drink was very reasonable, especially for such great quality. The staff really looked after us and made the whole evening very special – many thanks to all of you! I would strongly recommend visiting Bacaro! HR

  DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!. We were immediately intrigued by Bacaro after passing all the nondescript and look – alike restaurants on and around main street. Our intuition was rewarded when we stepped inside to experience the contemporary ambiance and welcoming staff. Icing on the cake (pardon the food pun) was the menu – amazing! The knowledgeable staff guided us through the nuances and combinations of a creative tapas offering.Alas, being mostly conservative, my wife and I chose lamb and tuna and again experienced something unique. Lovely stuff! Unfortunately, the exotic drinks were lost on us but check out the wine selection … like us, you’re bound to return.

  Amazing food and service. Very well thought out menu. the cocktails were delicious and the food was so unique and very well thought of. Everything on each dish compliments eachother. had a great time and I would definetly come back. great service too 🙂
