  I had the most peculiar experience here when I went for lunch. From the moment I ordered it took over 45 minutes for my food to arrive but my guest and I were the only ones in the restaurant ordering food as it was in the middle of the afternoon. I went in ordering vindaloo but the waitress returned 10 min later saying they were out of it. When I asked her to direct me to another meal that would be similar she said she could not do so. I tried asking in multiple ways if she would make an alternative recommendation for something similar but returning to and from the kitchen twice more she said she could not help me decide and could not meet my request. I tried asking three more times saying I was happy to try something new and really anything on the menu as long as it had garlic and lots of sauce. I said she could even surprise me as I was willing to try anything at this point realizing our parking meter was almost up and I was incredibly hungry after 45 minutes of discussion with the waitress. Again the waitress returned to the kitchen and 10 min later she said the chef could not make my order. Originally I wondered if it was a language barrier but I was confirmed it was not. I’m not sure I understood really what was going on in the kitchen or the waitresses unwillingness to make a recommendation to me but I do know I felt like I was in the twilight zone and we sat there very much bewildered.

  Best Indian food in Kelowna…. I’ve traveled extensively and have had Indian food in dozens of different Indian restaurants across North America. Da Tandoor has by far the best Nan bread I have ever tasted and gives the best Indian restaurants from Toronto to New York city a run for their money. The restaurant decor is nice, while the service is prompt and friendly. Vegetable samosas are delicious while the pakora’s are tasty but a little dry and salty.Their butter chicken sauce is one of the best that I have ever had and the tandoori vegetables is A+++. They are consistently good each time we visit and I would highly recommend them.

  Great eats. Staff: Very accommodating, polite, constantly attending our table. Food: Very tasty, we tryed 8 dishes: all correct in flavour (could be a little hotter), Naan bread is amazingWill be back!
