Ordered the steak burrito, was quite an experience! From the sauce, the salad to the beautifully dressed burrito, everything seemed right. Came very early so the pub was pretty empty. To be frank that’s how I like it. The lights are pretty dim and added a nice atmosphere.
Thank god the first 2 places we went to had a hour wait for seating. After working in many restaurant’s and bars I’m bad for going out and critiquing places where ever we go but I don’t think I have ever had this many complement’s. First of all the staff were knowledgeable on there menu and very friendly and inviting. The dcor was awesome with beautiful ceiling tiles and lighting as well as the music selection was great. I don’t think I have seen non packaged guacamole since I cant even remember, the smoked flavor had us almost licking the bowl. Our server actually had vegan suggestions too which you hardly ever get. We just had a burger and the house salad which was awesome as well, arugula and the pickled red onions are a great idea. defiantly worth a try
Great service and friendly staff. Funky atmosphere with good music usually playing over the speakers. The menu however is pretty much limited to basic Mexican (burritos, enchiladas or tacos in any of the 3 major meat varieties) or burgers with guacamole on them. Prices are a little on the high side for mediocre food but still worth it drop in for a beer. It’s a shame they took the ceviche off the menu. It was their shining star.
Food is a touch pricey, given the portion sizes. Of the 6x I’ve been there, the beans (served on the side) have been awful each time. Service has always been great each time though, and my god are their margaritas tasty!
When they first opened their food was horrible. Now, their food has gotten better – burgers are delicious and flavorful, but their Mexican food is really a hit or miss. Warning: their nachos are literally mini tacos. If you are craving normal nachos, do NOT get them, you will be disappointed (this is ridiculous as they make their own tortilla chips so you’d think they would want to showcase them..) Their shows are good entertainment but when you show up earlier than the show starts and don’t expect it, it can be an unwelcome addition to your evening. Great drink specials and location!
Favorite place for dinner and drinks. This place has become one of my favourite destinations in Kelowna. Great atmosphere, and a menu that goes from authentic Mexican to traditional pub fare. Friendly, relaxed service, live music most weekends (and it’s good live music!), and they serve until later than most places in Kelowna. Right now I’m totally hooked on the chipotle wings and chicken enchiladas, but the daily features are always a good bet, and the burgers are tasty. Definitely try the fresh guacamole, house-made salsas, and the addictive #34 margarita (avocado, lime, and a pinch of cilantro).
Good Food Good Times!. Had a great time at Fernado’s last night. The food was excellent and prices are good. Guacamole is delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meals from Fish Tacos to Chicken Buritto. Service is also good. Really liked the decor and live bands.
