We had Easter brunch at the Grand today and it was a big disappointment. Over priced and just blah! Granted it was a big spread, but the food was mostly Sysco’sfare. Whatever was made in house was overcooked and bland. The breakfast sausages were just a mound of fat, the pork belly was just fat, and the potatoes roasted in duck fat were … greasy and mush. The desserts were a complete miss. The lemon tartelettes had a nice filling, but the dough was dense and pasty. The coffee was cold and the service was poor. On the upside the chairs in the lounge are extremely comfortable.

Food quality comes standard. A fantastic spot for breakfast! Quite ridiculously overpriced mind you but when you want to linger with good service and beverages (fresh pressed apple juice is a winner) and a pleasant dining room this is the only place to do so. The daily breakfast buffet has pretty standard fare though with a chef always present you can enjoy eggs to order and if anything needs freshening they’ll simply prepare it for you. On my last visit the chef kindly provided me with a side of hollandaise and when I ordered another poached egg freshened my hollandaise as well. The Sunday brunch buffet is quite lovely with a nice array of traditional breakfast items, surprisingly good sushi, a great selection of meats and a large dessert collection. Good quality, prompt professional service rounds out a great experience. Again the price just keeps creeping up…well on it’s way to being unaffordable…but it’s hard to beat.

Nice view and location, really slow service. The bay view was nice (we sat on the patio), and staff was friendly, however we waited more than an hour for our first course to be served (and this included kid’s dishes that were just pasta and pizza, real simple). Second course also was very late. We were told they are very busy, but the cafe was far from being full. Also, my wife’s beef steak, which she ordered rare, was cooked all the way through (no pink inside). Other food was passable, though, and the wine was nice.

The setting was great on the water. They even had great gluten-free bread for the table as well. Food was well prepared.

Very nice place. Beautiful views, great service and excellent food. The lamb and the rib eye was perfect.
