My husband and I moved to the area and walked over for lunch . We were so pleased with our three course lunch , classy service and vintage decor …we felt underdressed . Somewhere you could host a baby shower or tea with girlfriends on a Sunday …lovely and home style .

I can’t remember eating a meal that was worse.. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was good but the meals were disgusting. Someone’s dish actually smelled like cat pee. The Caesar salad was so drenched in a mayonnaise based dressing that is was tough to find the lettuce. Everyone’s main courses were microwaved. Nothing looked fresh. The Alfredo sauce was similar to what you find in the Alfredo Kraft dinner (the Kraft dinner would probably have been better). No one came close to finishing their meals.I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Hidden gem!. We were there for lunch last week and reminded of what lovely treasure his restaurant is in a lovely relaxing atmosphere, attentive service, very relaxing, not rushed, and delicious freshly cooked food. The crepes are absolutely yummy and something that you can’t find too mnay places anymore. Don’t go here if you are looked for fast food. And what a beautiful setting.

Worst Meal Ever. The sole dish was so inedible I had to send it back. I can’t remember ever having to do that and one of the other ladies at our table also returned her meal. In a dining room with at least 28 people seated, there was one waitress and the chef was apparently alone in the kitchen. It took almost 2 hours for our lunch to arrive. The waitress also doubled as hostess!Whoever is running this restaurant should be embarrassed and ashamed. The chef never did come to our table or offer an alternative dish or an apology.Absolutely not acceptable for a beautiful heritage attraction.I would not recommend and will make a point of warning as many people as I can that they should not eat there, especially as there are many good restaurants in Kelowna with great chefs.

Terrible. I went for a luncheon the other day with some friends. I had called the week prior because I am on a restrictive diet and wanted to make sure they were able to accommodate me. All I asked was if I could have a plate of either tomatoes or cucumbers with my chicken, and of course I was told there would not be a problem. Well, they had neither, and I ended up paying $20.37 for a cup of tea and one chicken breast. They other ladies had difficulty with their meals, requiring a steak knife to cut a piece of flatbread and still couldn’t manage to do it.To add to this, the service was the worst I have ever experienced in any restaurant. Not that the young girl wasn’t pleasant, but we had to wait for everything, repeat requests for simple things like water or lemon, tea or coffee. She should not be a waitress. There was only one other group in the entire place, and it took 1 1/2 hours just to get our food. Although the atmosphere is very pretty, there is nothing else I can say good about this place. I will never go back and never recommend this to anyone.

Terrible. Went on Saturday for a bridal lunch and the service was atrociously bad, worst ever. The food was bland and boring. Will NEVER go back and will NEVER recommend. Too bad because it’s a very pretty place. I expected a lot better considering the price ($16.95 for three courses which is not a bad price if the service is acceptable). It would take way too long to explain everything that was bad about it and I am sure that out of the approximately 32 women who were there most would agree.

We had our wedding at the Guisachan House Restaurant February, 2012. The owner/operator, George, was both generous and extremely knowledgeable! The grounds are immaculate and staff courteous and skilled. Our guests raved about the quality of the food and elegant touches, such as crystal vases, silver flatware and linens on each table. The wrap-around windows boast exceptional views, no-matter what season! We returned to celebrate our first-year Anniversary, to find George at the door, ready to welcome us himself! We can’t say enough about the experiences we’ve had at the Guisichan House; best decision we could have made for our wedding! We continue to be proud of this gem in our own town!!!
