Food took very long even though we were the only table. All the orders were mixed up and some portions were missing. The english breakfast was sub-standard and they forgot to grill the tomatos and mushrooms. Left JJs with stomachs feeling upset. I can confidently say I will never return to JJs and cannot reccomend it.
Greasy spoon without the ambiance. Made a reservation for Mothers Day brunch which wasn’t very appealing so we ordered off the menu. Was never offered coffee – we had to ask after 15 minutes. Our very simple breakfast items took over 45 minutes to come out – got my mother’s eggs wrong – another 15 minutes for new eggs! Hash browns deep fried, hard & cold. Worst omelette I’ve ever had & stingy on the filling. Disgustingly greasy and tasteless. Never ever again!!!
Frequent diner. Always like to try out new places, especially all day breakfast. Time off the day was 12 noon and the plaace was completely empty. My friend is celiac so gluten free is a plus. Staff was not very interested in us but loved her cell phone. The hashbrowns were coated and deep fried, basted eggs were poached,and bacon was deep fried as well. We saw only 1 other customer come in after 15 minutes and we both got our food at the same time. I may try it again but not too soon.
Good food, great prices. Have been to JJ’s a few times now and like the down home country dcor. Menu has been growing and the items I have ordered have been absolutely delicious. I am very fussy, and have yet to find a complaint about my meal selections. Omelettes are superb, eggs benny extremely tasty, and love the liver and onions. Staff have always been attentive and pleasant when I have frequented. Have not made it to the brunch or buffet and would love to be there for a Karaoke evening.
All day breakfast FINALLY. Me and my husband are breakfast people. Any time of the day, breakfast food is where it’s at for us! We are big fans of the simple diner, the greasy spoon as we like to call it. Here in Kelowna, it’s difficult to find locally owned breakfast restaurants that serve breakfast all day and aren’t overpriced. Hooray for JJ’s Diner! The owner is a genius for focusing on all day breakfasts! The omelettes are bang on, as well as, the benny’s. The food is clean and presented well! We are excited to see JJ’s Diner grow. There are concerns about the glass on the tables, broken edges and they slide around. Otherwise, the dining area is clean and well maintained … each to their own when it comes to interior design. I don’t care about the design as long as it’s clean!I hope the owners focus more of their energy on the breakfast menu and become bold enough to really make it their own!
Average. Went there with a Smart Betty coupon. Very limited menu. Patty melt was greasy and chewy. The clubhouse was made with turkey ‘coldcuts’ on hard bread that shredded the inside of my mouth. I won’t be back!
