Went there recently for my wife and I wedding anniversary. We opted for the chefs plate and drink pairing. Great atmosphere, staff were extremely friendly and the food was delicious with an explosion of flavours. The local wines we had were delicious and made note of the wineries which we had never been to before. Also we had a small glass of big rock raspberry ale – yummy with one of the 5 courses of the chefs plate. Will have to go again to try the normal menu but also aware that this place is well known also for its bennies and brunches.

When I walked by this restaurant and saw it was Hip Hop Brunch day, I had to stop. Old school hip hop and tasty breakfast, along with a clever menu, was enough to sell me. I had the Notorious Benedict with a grapefruit mimosa. The poached eggs were a little more cooked than I would like, but the dish was still delicious. Only disappointment was that a number of the menu items were already 86’d by the time I got there, which is too bad – I really wanted to try the cheesy grits.

Went with some friends for hip hop brunch and quite enjoyed it. Place has kind of a hipsterish vibe and the staff are pretty casual, but the food was good (but a bit pricy) and the music even better.

From recent reviews, it makes a difference which day you are here. I guess we were lucky, because we had an excellent first visit. First impression was comfortable and casual, and it was. Shared some poutine that we really enjoyed- fries cooked in duck fat, tasty gravy with cheese curds, not all crapped up with other toppings. Had a very good IPA from the Island, different from our excellent local IPA’s but highly enjoyable. Then had fried chicken- crispy, light coating; moist tender chicken. Delicious coleslaw side. I think it is a bit pricey, but not that much. Our servers were sociable and attentive. I will definitely give Krafty’s another try.

Went for a late lunch with my husband. It has been 2 years since last went. My old review was no longer accurate. The food and cocktails are still quite tasty and the ambiance is still light and pleasant. The wait staff was entirely composed of young inexperienced (and in need of training) 18 year old all very eager take your drink order (we has 2 asking), but took almost 20 minutes to take our food order only after we managed to flag one and keep her to our table long enough to say we wanted to order food. She said she needed a pad, she took another 5 minutes to get it. At no time during our meal were we asked if we wanted anything else (even with empty cockrails). The food took quite a while to come out and we were already very hungry and the place was not busy. It’s a good place if you are not in a hurry and if you are not too hungry wjen you get there.

The space is lovely & the service is good. The food is overpriced & too heavy – not enough distinction – too much of a focus on fats & not enough on fresh veg & herbs. The beverages are lovely. Not recommended for a meal, but good for nibbles & drinks. Overall I was quite disappointed by the quality of the food. Too heavy & bland.

I rated this a 5 because I could not think of how our experience there could have been better. Our server was prompt, friendly, attentive and informative. We had the charcuterie and chicken wings (fried in duck fat) appetizers, the salmon and buttermilk-battered fried chicken mains, poutine (fried in duck fat) to share, and two excellent desserts. All of it was great. Highly recommended.
