Was looking for someplace new to try out, read about this place online so stopped by last night.I was thinking it would be decorated really medieval like but it was more of a relaxed chill out kind of place with some cool stuff hanging on the walls.I loved that they had a massive amount of board games. And the service was great, super friendly and chatty. All my questions were answered fully.Drinks – my fianc had the Odin brewing and liked it and I tried the cloud horse mead, it was good! I was thinking our cups would be olden type metal or wooden cups haha but I guess when I read online that this was a Viking pub, my imagination ran wild lolThe food – we were so surprised. We shared the arancini which were crispy risotto balls but creamy in the middle…very yummy. My fianc had the jarl burger with fries and loved it.I had the mushroom and leek pie with salad. The pie was ok, there were lots of potatoes and they were kinda underdone and the crust wasn’t my thing but to each their own. But the salad was super yummy, duno if the dressing is housemade or not but it was good and I’d come back for just a big salad and be totally happy :DBased on last nights visit, I give them a 3.5-4. 4 because the employees were so friendly.Excited to come back for free comedy night!

Great atmosphere, and a good variety of drink options. (Great beers on tap! And Merridale cider!) Food is flavourful, with good options for vegetarians. Everything is reasonably priced.They have big tables and a huge selection of board games you can play. Now that they’ve been open for a few months, service has become consistently good.(Not super fast, but always friendly and genuine.) It’s SO nice to have a bar downtown that has actual tables and isn’t too loud for real conversation. I really like this place.
Good well priced food and drinks.. I’ve tried most of the things on the menu and they are all above average for pub food, and a few dishes are most excellent indeed. They’ve also got a decent selection of drinks, which I’ve enjoyed sampling. Of the many places I’ve been in kelowna Muninns has by far the best atmosphere for hanging out for a few hours.
Awesome!. Enjoyed myself very much. There are quite a few small tables, a couch area with a T.V. and a nice long table for big groups, which is where our party sat; a long wooden table with benches reminiscent of Valhalla! Hope this place will stay a staple in downtown Kelowna for a long time to come. Fantastic service, our server was friendly and helpful. Great music, the atmospheric metal puts one immediately at ease. The food seemed like it was made from scratch and I felt it was a good price. I especially enjoyed the fries: freshly cooked and delicious. I didn’t personally try it, but the apple crisp got rave reviews from the rest of our table. As I write this review, the restaurant is newly open, so I’m sure they are in the process of building an idea of what clients want. The bar menu is fairly small so far and the focus seems to be on local foods and drinks, so I hope they will also add some local wines. The cocktail list is creatively organized into Norse themed drinks. I would personally like to see some sort of Tequila Sunrise drink in the future.
Cheapest beer. Want cheap beer that’s not swill? Go to this place. Want fun board games without the $69.99 price tag? Go to this place. Want friendly service? You know the drill.
Nerdbar? Yes please. (And the food is awesome too!). Kelowna has been in desperate need for a bar that caters to the less-clubgoing crowd, and Muunin’s fills that void wonderfully. The environment is awesome, the games are well-stocked, and the food is top notch.While the menu does seem a little short, for a pub of this size it’s big enough, and the quality of the food more than makes up for the lack of choice. The steak pie is twice as good as Mom ever made, and their burgers are perhaps some of the best in town. I’m not sure what magical land their bacon is from, but it’s well worth the upsell. The wings are fantastically crispy and flavourful too.
