Seriously??. I completely agree with one of the above posts, I came in with a few girl friends and our boyfriends, the location is fabulous and the food was good, prices are good as well. I was however thoroughly disgusted with the way 2 of my female friends and all our guys were treated. The 2 of us who are barbie looking were promptly served and the bar staff were over friendly even in front of our significant others, to show how bad it was we were all standing in a group together even holding our partners hands and only 2 of us were served, the rest of my female friends and our guys waited and additional 18 minutes (yes i timed it) so unless you are very good looking be prepared to be treated like absolute crap in this establishment!!! I have been a server/bartender for the last 25 yrs of my life ( in vancouver) and have never seen anything like it before……
Such Potential, but marred by terrible staff. O’Flannigans could be a great pub, it really could, but the bar staff in there are so terrible that every time I go I end up getting so frustrated by them that the whole experience is ruined.The issue with them is that the guys ONLY seem to serve the pretty girls in there. As a guy, or a less pretty girl you’re constantly bumped down the line in favour of the beautiful types. This has been commented on by many people I know, rather than this being an issue specific to me.Other annoyances include:The bar staff, when you get served, are so slow that it holds the line up even moreThere’s often only one bar tender when the bar is packed full of people – leading to 30min wait times for a drinkWhen the bar is about to close, they often turn the fire alarms on, causing everyone to have to evacuate rather than leave peacefully.Long story short – great bar, great location, great live music, great prices – let down by some of the worst bar staff I’ve ever experienced and being treated badly during your time there.
Food is good but nothing fancy. Drinks are priced well and have lives bands most weekends.
