Terrible place. The staff was very rude and aggressive after we complained about very gross dirty handling of the food. Stay away. The restaurant itself was not kept clean. I wouldn’t eat there if they paid me.
At first we were very happy with this location; friendly cashier and the photos look great on the menu. However as we waited for our poutine one of the staff wearing a black t-shirt kept coughing through the back kitchen, wiping his nose on his hand and than touching the cut fries in the large bucket on wheels. Grabbing a knife and rinsing with water (no washing) and putting away. We cancelled our order after seeing this and we should have just walked out without a refund. The owner was called up to help the cashier and he argued with us that the order was already place and he’ll just get the staff member to wash his hands. Sorry but not cool, he coughed openly through the back already and touched food and service items. We walked out, keep our money cause it’s the last you’ll get, if I could vote a negative number I would cause this place does not deserve even a 1 rating.
The food tastes amazing, but the customer service is so bad since they change it to this guy as the front man. It used to be really friendly, but this guy is so lazy he literally said ‘it will take too long for us to make it and you can just go home without a poutine’. It’s very unfortunate, because it used to be my favorite to go place every weekend
Just aweful. Steer clear folks. The food is okay but the service isn’t worth the price of the food. The owner swears at customers and is really, in all honesty, a jerk. Just down the street is Sliderz and they serve a tasty poutine with very friendly staff. I was going there up to four times a month until I had the deal with the owner twice. That did it for me and I will never return…

This is not good, or authentic poutine!. You have to get the basics of poutine to get it right and they just don’t. Had it for a third time tonight and it just seems to get worse each time. The fries were greasy & not crispy – they need to be crispy so they don’t get soggy – they got soggy…, the gravy had no taste – it blended into the grease of the fries and turned into a mess AND 3rd and most important – these are not authentic cheese curds they are using!! it melts like mozzarella to a gooey mess & they do not squeak and there are not enough to get you through the serving. Geeze hate to say it – but even Costco’s poutine is way better. This is a place that is supposed to be able to get it right -Poutinerie?? but they hide behind all these specialty poutine’s (meaning the toppings on top of the just wrong to begin with poutine). Just skip it – or until they improve it … Read the reviews Smoke’s, cause what you are serving is really disappointing and at the rate the other restaurants are closing up in that area – you could unfortunately be next.
My family of four had lunch here and all our choices were delicious! I had the nacho poutine and can’t stop thinking about it. Great for a treat.
