Huge Disappointment!. We are a group of women who come to Kelowna every 2 years for a weekend visit. We had gone to the Yellow House 4 years ago and had a wonderful time. They seated us upstairs in a small alcove at our request, so we could talk and laugh without disturbing other dinners. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. This year we decided to return to the yellow house for our Saturday dinner. Their web site was down, so I phoned the restaurant in February to make a booking for April 25 at 6:30 pm. I asked if we could eat upstairs again, and we were assured tha we could. Following my conversation with one of the owners, I sent an them an email to confirm our request, and they responded that all would be done as described in our conversation and the emailWe arrived on time only to be told that we weren’t going to be seated upstairs as promised. We were seated in a corner less than 2 feet from a musical trio – a father and 2 children. We couldn’t hear hear each other at all. When I complained, one of the owners moved the trio to the other side of the room. The food arrived and was mediocre, at best. 4 out of 6 in our group ordered steaks and ALL were over cooked. No one checked to see if it our food was ok. He co-owner did not charge us for a corkage fee because of our problem . None of us would recommend this restaurant! We give it 1/2 a star.
