Best Bakery. As a long time resident of the valley, I highly recommend Tripkes! Love their baked goods- try the hazelnut ring- heaven! Love the key lime tarts. Birthdays in our house are always celebrated with a Tripkes Torte (2 this month!)- so many flavours to choose from. I use both locations, downtown and Glenmore- the quality is consistent.
Best brunch I’ve ever had!. It was a Monday lunchtime and the cafe was reasonably busy. We were attended to promptly after choosing to sit on the patio under an umbrella. We took our time to choose our drink orders and the waitress was patient even after returning twice. I ordered the Big Jack with both house pulled ham and three bacon pieces. No word of a lie, Tripke served up the best breakfast I’ve ever had! The food was perfect; the bacon was soft and tasty but not greasy, the shaved ham was tender, the sunny side eggs had clean egg white edges and runny yoke just the way I like it. Even the cubed hash browns had just the right amount of flavor and the wholewheat toast had just the right bite!The waitresses are friendly, the cafe and washrooms are clean and the menu, although simple, is hard to choose from because everything sounds so darn good! We were too full after to eat pastries from the bakery and regret not returning later in the day… just looking at them will whet your appetite!
