I went two days in a row, and tried two different Ramen. I tried the Curry Ramen and the Tan Tan Men Ramen. They’re authentic, and I think the noodles are actually made from scratch. I would definitely go back so I can try the rest of their ramen in their menu.Portion Size: 6 out of 10I thought it was too small, for its price. I wish they had two serving size instead, like a regular or a large.Price: 7 out of 10Price is okay. But for the price, I was hoping for a larger portion.Flavor: 6 out of 10The flavor is great, but on both times that I went there, my ramen souo was a little too salty. I had to put maybe just a little over 1/4 cup of water in my soup, so I can enjoy my Ramen.
I love this place! Service is so great. And food is yummy! The music they were playing at the time puts a smile on my face and reminds me of my fave Japanese ghibli movies.Everything tasted great. Best ramen *in Kelowna* hands down.
This is a nice place with a great atmosphere and service. We went shortly after they opened for dinner and they were probably already a bit over half full. They actually had more than what I expected on their menu. They had a variety of appetizers and yaki udon, and sushi. They do have special ramen that changes depending on what’s fresh, but they also have ramen that is always there. Their prices are fair for the portions. We tried the takowasabi. It had quite the spiciness of the wasabi in addition to the raw onion. My nose could feel the sting quite well. It was too spicy for me and not what I am used to. I felt like I needed rice or seaweed to wrap it in. I got the miso ramen with chicken chashu and added an egg. The miso broth isn’t as smooth, but it had great taste. I haven’t had a miso broth that tasted like this. Their homemade noodles are tender and chewy. I really enjoyed them! The chicken chashu was a bit on the salty side but it was moist and tender. The only thing I was really disappointed with was the egg. This was definitely not like any other ramen egg I’ve had before. It didn’t have much flavour other than the egg taste, so I don’t think it was marinated for long. It did work out because the chicken was on the saltier side. But the yolk was very disappointing. That is something I look forward to with all my eggs. It was boiled too long and wasn’t the oozey yolk I am used to with ramen. My boyfriend got the AB ramen which had a prawn broth and came with pork chashu, wonton, and prawns. I liked his broth. It had a strong prawn flavour and didn’t feel heavy. I would definitely come back still. Their noodles are definitely on point and the servers were friendly. I might order the egg again to see if it was just that time. But definitely give this place a chance if you’re around!
Loved this place then and love this place now! I had gone to this restaurant when it first opened and really liked it. I went back today and was blown away. The spicy eggplant was different and delicious and the tuna was very fresh and tasty. I heard the Ramen was the best and it really was delicious but I had the curry one and wish I had one of the more traditional ones. They make their own noodles which is a must! This place is impressive! *Update – Now have tried the TanTan and Chili Beef Lime Ramen and both were excellent! Very flavorful and great combinations of flavors.
Finally. Heard lots of talk about this place and when a friend talked about their ramen I had to go. Had a shrimp gyoza ramen. The gyoza themselves were some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The broth… omg the broth… it was so good. Hand made noodles were tender yet chewy. I’m no ramen expert, but this was one of the best bowl of soup I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to return for more. Only 4/5 because I’ve only had one dish. I’m sure that will increase with my next visit(s).
Fabulous Ramen Dishes!! They have the most amazing creative menu! The Spicy Prawn Ramen is my number 1 choice! Great service, everyone is so friendlt!
So far, I’ve only had the pleasure of sitting in and enjoying their Spicy Prawn Wonton Ramen, and fried banana tempura dessert. There is no faking authentic Ramen; with it’s creamy broth base and home-made noodles.Amazing food- Lovely staff- cool set up- while located in the heart of downtown. What more could you want?!I’ll be back again, and again …
