Third time ordering takeout and it’ll be the last time sweet-and-sour pork basically all we got was vegetables and a spoonful of pork and Szechuan beef. was as tough as nails… but there is one they are consistent on and that is Not getting the dish done right every time…. it is a tossup every time you order if you’ll get the same flavors.
While traveling, I ordered some delivery from here. The person taking the order was polite and helpful, this was important because I did not have a takeout menu. He helped me pick out the order I was most interested in. I ordered Shanghai noodle and Kum po squid. The order arrived close to delivery time. The food was delicious. Had the leftovers for breakfast, it was excellent cold.
Delivery disaster. When was the last time that you didn’t get soy sauce or chop sticks from chinese food delivery?? Probably never. When you call these people to ask about it, they tell you that they don’t give you soy sauce unless you ask. But if you don’t know you have to ask, then how would you get soy sauce??? Interesting question, isn’t it. Food is average – not worth ordering from them again because they’re rude and don’t care about customer service
Old school fav. I used to go to Szechuan when i was a kid and I remember many happy nights playing under the tables. I decided to grab some take out and see how they have done over the last few years. My grown up taste buds were now disappointed. we had a pretty pedestrian meal of house chow mein, ginger beef, sweet and sour pork and spring rolls. The chow mein was soo full of meat and veg that it bore little resemblance to the chow meins we have come to expect. The ginger beef was not as spicy as we like but large portion that was perfectly cooked with lots of dark say flavor. The sweet and sour had a nice amount of vinegar that cut through the sweetness nicely. The spring rolls were fine, lots of veg in them. And finally, it all tasted even better cold the next morning, a true sign of great Chinese food 😉
Great food. I was a bit apprehensive after seeing some bad reviews but I was craving hot and sour soup and always remembered theirs as one of the best in Victoria. I wasn’t disappointed! And while I was looking for crispy chicken, I decided to try their spicy chicken…what a great dish! Szechuan, you still have my vote!
Good food. We always order food from Szechuan and have never been disappointed. A typical order for us would be, hot and sour soup, chicken fried rice, spicy ginger beef, sweet and sour chicken and green pea foo young. sometimes we add a singapore noodle. the spicy ginger beef is the best anywhere, crispy, spicy, gingery, yum. We recently tried something new and ordered from a new place but it was not as good as Szechuan!!
1st time experience & it was a disappointment to find the chicken chow mein with big fat noodles & fake chicken! Took back to get $ back lady behind counter decides to throw $ on counter! Will not be going back there.
