One of the best, true pizzerias in North Van. Not fast food so expect to whip out your wallet. Their patate conaglio: potato, Rosemary , roasted garlic, white onions, incredible, it’s their signature. Sometimes I add a meat, depending on my mood. Awesome online ordering website, and they deliver pretty much all of North Van. West Van is only with a day advance notice. Their new digs are pretty fresh and modern compared to its ancient location up north.
Worst service EVER!. Called Colosseum Pizza by phone, paid by credit card. The order was placed at 7:17 pm on a Wednesday night. So called pizza place and the guy on the phone stated it was just around the corner and that was at 8:00 p.m. The pizza arrived at 8:53. We did not leave a tip. What did the pizza taste like? The Amore was ok; however the plain cheese was boring with no flavour. I didn’t taste tomato sauce at all. It reminded me of a cheese sandwich heated in a microwave.
Awful Experience. Huge mistake.I thought I would try a pizza place that was supposedly more authentic and better quality than some of the bigger chains around…boy was I wrong. I placed a delivery order last night that consisted of one large pizza, a leg of chicken with a potato, one greek salad, and a tiramisu. It came to $67.00. The price I was quoted on the phone was $59.00 with tax, so still an inflated price but when i was presented with the bill at the door , every dish I ordered was about $2.00 more expensive than the quoted price. The food itself was average at best…. the pizza was tasty but greasy with no healthy options for crust….just a white dough crust, and the portions for the Tiramisu, chicken and potato, and greek salad were horrifying. I never received my chives and sour cream with the potato ..just a bald bland potato……the salad was 90 percent green pepper, just a horrible rendition of a greek salad. The chicken was dry and shrivelled…I could go on…Never before have I actually felt so cheated when ordering delivery from a place. So much that I am here writing a food review for the first time. When I called to complain about not receiving my potato condiments, I was greeted by a condescending, patronizing man who didnt seem to care whatsoever. i was offered nothing for their mess up.When I pay a premium price for food, I expect it to be quality especially if the portions are as abysmal as this place.I will never repeat. Worst experience on the north shore, and I have tried almost every food establishment of its kind in North Van.Did I mention that the delivery time was approximately 1 and a half hours?
I was really excited from the reviews but quite disappointed. the restaurant was empty and the pizza took quite a long time. the pizza crust was not authentic. it was greasy and thick. the topping flavours and combinations were pretty good though. still haven’t found pizza on the north shore that even compares to Nook on Denman.
North shore pizza. Finally found a great pizza on the North Shore
Their Signature pizza. One of the best pizzas ever! Their most popular surprisingly doesn’t have meat but not meant to be a vegetarian either. It’s their Patate Con Aglio, with thinly sliced potatoes, white onions, roasted garlic, rosemary and black peppercorns. Just a delightful combinaton.Recently there to do a pickup, i drive 30min each way, it’s that amazing!when i do sit in, i choose the window seat up on its mezzanine level, split into 2 floors here. Very casual atmosphere, italian-like, been here for 20+ years. Sometimes you can catch the owner playing his guitar too.Street parking.People thought this was:
Not good pizza.. Nice staff, nice atmosphere, lousy pizza and expensive.
