Not only did the restaurant start up in the eighties, most of the people there are in their eighties. Not bad food for the price.
Food is crap
Love 80s!!! Love the prices!! Love the staff and love the food!! Best breakfast in north van!
Good breakfast. Went here for breakfast and it was pretty good. What i really liked was that I ordered scrambled eggs and they were whole eggs that were scrambled rather than the eggs in a carton (you can tell because the eggs were not that homogenous yellow color). The service was quick and friendly, and the prices reasonable. Also, the booths were comfy! would come here again
Good food prepared well. Been going there for over thirty years. The food is good. Breakfast and lunch also dinner. Really love this place. Always have a good meal at the Eighties
It’s a classic gem!. Having been here, hmm, maybe fifteen times total in my whole life and far between,I think I can say that I’m not a regular so me having good, friendly service wasn’t on account of that. I can’t speak for other people’s experience or scenarios, but at times they can be incredibly busy so maybe that’s why there are some complaints for lack of service. Otherwise, I’m sorry to hear that! Oh boy can they ever be really busy though. They have to remember all these tables, every glass of water asked, every napkin etc., as with any place I know, but when I mean busy, I mean BUSY. It makes sense why, since the food is: great, inexpensive, of more than decent quantity, and the menu offers plenty options to choose from. I mostly go for breakfast, and sometimes lunch, which I must say, the beef and barley soup is fantastic and the hash browns of course which they don’t shy away on portion size in the least. My one complaint though is that the soup is surprisingly small in portion, but other than that, I love it!
Service is alright. Food was also alright. You get what you pay for.
