About
One burger, easy on the grease! A treat for a friend who was helping me install a new kitchen tap. We ordered 2 pumpkin soups and 2 burgers. Total cost $38. Nice soup. The burgers were an utterly amazing disappointment. What we expected for the price: a nice burger with cheese, lettuce, and tomato. What we got: at least one full cup of greasy fried red peppers, onions, and mushrooms burying a beef patty which was on one side of a halved slice of flatbread. We couldn't figure out how to eat it or how to get rid of so many greasy, slimy strips of red peppers and onions. In all truth, the burger was the most disgusting garbage I have seen served up, as food, in a very very long time. The end result: embarrassment for me as my friend was my guest; upset stomachs for both of us. Later: anger. I telephoned the manager who said, "We've never had any complaints before. Maybe this isn't your kind of place." No apology. Nothing. Ethical Kitchen? A place where management doesn't care how much grease it serves up. Health food? Hardly.
