Great little restaurant on lower Lonsdale. One of our family’s favourite restaurants for special meals or just a quiet night with delicious food. Service is great, never disappoints!
Had an absolutely fantastic meal with friends and my little one here on Christmas Eve. We shared a number of appetizers, which were all delicious, and tried each other’s mains as well, which was a treat. I had the Lobster Mac and cheese, which, with it’s delicious creaminess and ample lobster, was to die for. We tried the crispy squid, a beautiful Prawns and Scallop special, the Sturgeon, Salmon Carpaccio and Tuna Tataki, among other things. My baby loves it here as well and has eaten EVERYTHING we’ve ever ordered. Great wine recommendations. The service, as always, was warm, attentive and on point. Can’t wait until our next visit. Still thinking about the Lobster Mac….
I’ve come here to eat many times since they’ve opened. Owner chef does an amazing job! Amazing value and quality. By far one of the best restaurants in all of Vancouver!
I think this restaurant gets better and better every time we go. The delicious food, warm service and charming ambience all add to this quickly becoming my favourite restaurant! Such a neighbourhood gem!
The prawn carbonara is about as good as that dish suggests. Big juicy prawns expertly grilled, ask for some lemon wedges to balance it out, as well get a glass of the Haywire pinot gris, the acidity pairs wonderfully with the fat. The small diced ham (pancetta), are just as great as the exact al-dente pasta, get some fresh shucked oysters to start and you are set.
Service- Was moderately strange as the waiter made passing comments to us about other guests and suggested myself and my wife of the better part of 3 years weren’t getting along.Food- For me mild food poisoning, so not ideal on that front. My wifes squid and halibut were pretty good.Follow up- When approached about the food poisoning and offer of a single desert for our next visit was given. Ill pass
