Korean style chinese food. Try the black bean noodles. It’s delicious. Try also their spicy seafood soup noodles. It’ll burn your mouth and other parts of your body. But it’s the good kind of burning sensation. Try also their sweet and sour pork. Actually, try all three of them. They usually offer them in a combo.
Cute small quaint good value and authentic mom and pop Korean restaurant. I love that there are small pickled side dishes that come with your meal. Be prepared to share as its meant more for family style eating.
Went to this place on a weekday evening, no line ups, Korean style Chinese food seemed interesting, ordered a Sam Sung Ja Jang Myun, it was delicious and it came with two free appetizers, Kimchi and pickled Daikon which was also delicious, good restaurant, I would recommend this place for anyone looking for Korean food in North Vancouver.
One of best Korean-Chinese restaurant in town. Their kanpoonggi & jamppong are highly recommended :p
Delicious Korean food!. Don’t listen to the person saying this isn’t Korean food, they don’t know anything. Hamjibak specializes in Jajangmyun (black bean noodle) and Jjampong (spicy seafood noodle). The origin of Jajangmyun is indeed from China but the dish and ingredients themselves are different in the Korean version. In fact, jajangmyun has a long history and is a staple food in Korea. If you have ever been to Korea or have ever watched any Korean tv shows, you have probably seen it being eaten. As for the quality of the food at Hamjibak, it is really delicious! The amount of jajangmyun you can get for $8 will make you incredibly full. The kanpongi and tongsuyuk is also topnotch! I highly recommend eating here.
This is not koren restraint . More like a Chinese one. If you want traditional koren food. I think it’s not a smart choice.
Loved it!. I remember going to kareoke across the street and wanting to try this place, but it was pretty empty inside so we decided against it. BIG MISTAKE! Got the sweet and spicy deep fried chicken and spicy stir fried squid (i think it was called?) and i cannot be more satisfied. definitely going back.
