Delicious and great service!. I was expected mediocre seeing as it looked like just another quick food joint in the Lonsdale Market, but I was pleasantly surprised! I got a souvlaki pita of lamb, beef and chicken for the price of a lamb souvlaki (recommended to me by on of the workers) and it was delicious! It took a little while to make but I got to watch the guy make it and he put a lot of care into it and while he was cooking he would clean and make sure everything was nice and he just really seemed to care a lot. I asked him if he owned the place and he said he did and that he had been there for 29 years! Very cool, very authentic, I would definitely go back!
Tasty. Definitely one of the best, messiest flavorful chicken souvlaki’s I have ever had. I was expecting average and got fantastic.
Had a donair and a souvlaki today and they we dry and gaggy. Needed way more tzatsiki. But most importantly the young man at the counter was outrageously rude. He could not have made us feel more unwanted as a customer, if he tried. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience and wouldn’t return again, if we were in the area. There are plenty of good Greek restaurants on Lonsdale , within walking distance. ( Anatoli’s Souvlaki – good eats and nice people)
This is still the best donairs we’be had since first eating them back in the early ’90’s …bar none.
Wonderful Greek Barbecue Chicken Dinner. I’ve been a fan of George’s Souvlaki in North Vancouver for many years. He has the best Greek Barbecue Chicken Dinner, that I’ve eaten many times a week – I love it that much. The Chicken Dinner is loaded with salad, tomatoes, and onions, which reminds me of my Mom’s cooking. It also has huge helpings. There are some odd foods that I had that I didn’t like, but the main course is great. Sometimes as a special he makes Roast Lamb that is fabulous. I definitely recommend George’s Souvlaki
Bad. Sandwich warm on the outside, frozen on the inside. Spanikopita was disgusting.
Its alright. Lonsdale Quay needs a nicer restaurant for tourists, but I guess that may not be the point of it. I don’t see why not as it has some beautiful views.George’s Souvlaki was probably the best restaurant in there.
