After a rare sunny afternoon spent in Stanley Park, my friend and I decided to check out Lonsdale Kabob, which had been on our wishlist for a very long time.We reached there at 5.30 PM, clearly still very early for dinner, as we were the only people there.We ordered the Vaziri to share, which has one chicken and one beef skewer, and a glass of doogh.Their portions are pretty generous; I could not have imagined eating the whole thing by myself. And their skewers are very delicious, and so juicy! Both of us liked the chicken (joojeh) more than the beef (koobideh) though – it was different from the joojeh at Cazbah, and I might even say that they were the best chicken kebabs I’ve had in Vancouver! Really loved it.Doogh was great as well – I really love doogh, which is similar in taste to a summer drink popular in India. It’s like drinking lightly spiced, salty yoghurt/buttermilk.It’s unfortunate that Lonsdale is so far from where I live, because that means I cannot visit this restaurant more often.

I went to its new location which was very unfriendly, very poor service. I was ignored completely. The food was good when it finally arrived but atmosphere was terrible.
