I was doing some errands today and decided to pop into nickel. They don’t just serve Italian ice cream, they also have pastries, and a deli section, it’s wonderful. It’s a very charming store. I was greeted by a nice young lady. I asked her to sell me her favorite, and she gave me the cream cheese donut. Looks amazing… But before I could even take a bite I noticed a homeless man and decided, perhaps he needed this more then I did. His name is Gordon and apparently he’s on his way to the yukon. I asked him to be honest, how’s the donut? He replied, you know I’m always grateful for food but if you want me to be honest, this donut is wonderful. The cream cheese isn’t as heavy as I expected. It’s got a sweet outer flavor, moist donut not dry. I wish I could have another. And so I bought two more and sat next to him on the ground eating with Gordon and conversing about them. He’s right it’s not heavy at all. I usually would have something to drink to wash a donut down but I didn’t need to. The bakery has many specialty boxed candies as well too. I love their setup! Above all most of their items are not very expensive at all and service is excellent. I’m definitely coming back! By the way they also have a clearence shelf there too!
