Very friendly family-owned environment. Sweet Server. We ordered the appetizer sampler, the calamari in particular stood out, it was really tasty. If I were to go there again, I would probably order one of their main dishes with a calamari appetizer.
Great food!. Went with my kids and a friend on a Friday night. Wonderful food & friendly, fast service. My son loved the lamb, and the portions are very generous. Will be back for sure!
Best Calamari. I recommend this place highly. The calamari is the best I’ve ever had, grilled rather than deep fried. I have been to many Greek restaurants over several decades throughout British Columbia. Pasparos Taverna has a charming ambiance, with good service. We went on a quiet night during the week, so no belly dancing. A minor detraction to me was being seated right beside another couple when the were many empty tables. That gave us a window view, but I would think privacy would have been better. We were given three tasters of wine to help choose a bottle to accompany our meal. A nice touch, I thought.
Over priced take-out. We (4…. Over priced take-out.We (4 adults) ordered over $100 in food and were still hungry. See uploaded picture of a $12 chicken skewer as an example. The portion sizes were tiny. When we dine in house the food is great and portions are large. Take out was a disappointment.
Great Greek food. We went with few friends and had a wonder full Greek experience, warm ambiance and friendly service, we will be back
Greek?????. I’ve spent a lot of time in Greece and never once did I see a belly dancer. The food was okay but not inspiring, and not as good as I would hope given the price. The calamari was pretty good but the saganaki should be served sizzling, not warm and soggy. The servers were rushing plates off our table before we had even finished them even though the restaurant was only half fullThe main problem was the belly dancer accompanied by extremely loud – and very ungreek – music, she launched herself on every table even those who, like us were trying to have a conversation and just wouldn’t go away. Very intrusive. Really disliked this and again, belly dancers are not Greek so it totally jarred with the vibe of the restaurant.Won’t be back.
Can’t believe they have vegan moussaka!. Yes, with vegan bchamel sauce. Very nice. And, they have had vegan spanakopita on hand, but I don’t think this is a regular thing. When I had it, it was great! The server seemed a bit strange — chatty, like he wasn’t really a waiter, just some guy off the street — and the bill came out rather high: $70 for 2, and that’s with only 1 glass of wine. The ambience is nice, but can be a bit squished on the weekend at the dinner hour.
