We ordered from here for many years. The service is rude and when the make mistakes or forget something they never apologize. The last time we ordered they send the containers not even half full for the full price. We called up the restaurant to inquire and advised that we didn’t find it fair to charge us full price for half the food and she advised as she screamed at us through the phone that she would just take it out of the delivery boys pay. So UNETHICAL. She wanted to speak to the driver and screamed at him too and he was so distraught after the call. We did pay in full as it was stressing out the poor young driver but will never order from such a heinous establishment again.
My family and my partner’s family have been ordering from this restaurant for over 8 years. We have noticed that the quality and quantity of the food has been decreasing every year. I feel that when we order the ginger beef or sweet and sour pork, there isn’t much beef or pork in either dish anymore. Lots of deep fried batter and sauce. The worst part is the service has been abysmal. I don’t often write reviews, but I felt compelled after my last order. They forgot to include one of the items in our pick up order and when we called them to let them know, they said they’re too busy to send a driver over to give us the item they forgot. They never apologized once. I would no longer recommend this restaurant, especially since there are much better options available in North Vancouver, in terms of price and quality.
This was our first time ordering take out with Red Chilli. The phone service was polite and quick. We ordered 2 hrs in advance and the food was just finishing being prepared as I was paying. Service was pleasant, and friendly. However the server did linger a bit after I paid cash to see if I was going to leave a tip. Which I did and they were grateful and thanked me. (tipping for take out? Not too sure if it’s a given, but I seem obliged to leave a few dollars. Usually just under 10% for take out). They presented my with a well packaged take out carrying box. No plastic bag which when in the car usually topple over. It was a 15 min drive home and the food sat for another 10 mins. and it was still good and hot. We were very pleased with the quantity and quality of the food. Tasty and plenty of it. One thing which was disappointing: Diced Chicken Cashew, very good but had difficulty finding the diced chicken.The Beef and Broccoli was very good and fresh…beef was tender and not chewy and the broccoli had that crunch of freshness…Over all, the food was very good and we would definitely refer our friends to go there. We will be back.
