I ordered the dolsot bibimbap and it was really good and really spicy, just the way it should be! The assortment of appetizer vegetables that came with it tasted a little stale though 🙁
Hit or miss. Been here 3 times…. tonight was a miss. There’s tons of onions in everything (regular onions, green onions), so if you don’t like onions, well… it’s going to be a long night. Also, we got the seafood pancake which was $19 and it was loaded with that fake crab meat they use for california rolls, baby shrimp and the texture was limp. The beef bulgogi was like a soggy bland beef stir fry (mainly onions). Was expecting grilled beef. And my favorite appetizer dish (soy potatoes) had undercooked potatoes. Won’t be returning, which is a shame as the owners seem really nice.
Real koren food. A little bit pricy. Average $20 at least.
Amazing food.the short rib soup with glass noodles is such a great dish. It comes with all of the sides and the best kimchi I’ve ever had
So good. Best in North Van!
Been coming back to this cute little place for 4 years. When my household is feeling too lazy to cook, Spicy House always gets considered as an option to eat out. Our favourites are the #9 LA style spare ribs and veg on a sizzling hot plate, #11 kimchi fried rice with topped with an egg, #13 sweet soup with tender sliced beef, green onion, and rice noodles, #47 kimchi fried with squid, beef, pork, and veg also on a sizzling hot plate. Some honourable mentions are the seafood pancake and beef bones soup. The staff are polite and efficient, even when it’s packed. The atmosphere is homey, casual, and you always leave with a happy tummy.
Damn good. Damn spicy and damn tasty.Order the spicy pork.
