Tucked slightly further into the Lonsdale Quay marketplace, The Sandwich Shop has become one of my favourite places to grab lunch en route to class! My favourite so far is the Prosciutto Panini. Made fresh, the prosciutto is paired with pesto sauce, bocconcini, arugula and truffle oil. It isn’t too heavy and is the perfect size to leave you satisfied for the remaining hours of your work day. Looking forward to trying out the rest of their menu!Wish I had known about this place sooner!

I think this fellow works pretty hard, but maybe bit off more than hey could chew, as Fishworks is a half decent place, and the Sandwich Shop is now waiting to die.Some of the other reviewers (Eder) are right. When they opened they were baking salmon, and roasting porchetta. The fillings were really nice with lots of great garnishes. Except for one thing that is a big thing to overlook.Their bread has ALWAYS been terrible. Dry without being crunchy, mealy and tough. A Sandwich Shop without fresh baked bread is a big problem.If you want a good sandwich on the shore you gotta go a bit out of your way and head to S’Wich cafe.
