Great 1st visit. From the moment we walked in new this was going to be a good night. Six of us out for dinner 02/07/15. gracious host with a sense of humour , turns out to be the owner and our server. This was four of our first visit and we have all agreed to return again and again. What a great little gem. Everything was excellent. Thank you for making this a good night, see you soon !!!!!!
Had dinner here last night: my guy and I shared 2 appies and 2 dinners, both if which were delicious. I had the scallops. Lovely though only 2 of them; he had the pakoras, which were light, flavourful and delicious with a tamarind dipping sauce. I had gorgeous duck breast; he had stuffed fish & chips. All very tasty and nicely presented.
Blighty’s is a cozy place with beyond amazing food. Delectable entrees and great wines to pair. The creme brle is to die for! A MUST eat in Victoria
Worst name ever for such a great bistro! Whenever my partner’s mom comes to town, Blighty’s is a must. Cool space, delightful owner and staff, wonderful food. The Bill Murr is fish and chips to the next level, and the chicken is always super juicy. Consistently one of my faves.
Poor hours. Too short of hours for a restaurant. Not open sunday…… open 530 to 8. Was closed inthe summer for holidays. And the owner was very rude….
#1 Bistro. We live within walking distance of Blighty’s and have always considered it one of our favourite restaurants, but hadn’t been there in awhile. After our dinner last night we’ve fallen in love with Blighty’s all over again. The service is wonderful (a perfect blend of friendliness, charm and professionalism, always attentive but never intrusive) and the food was excellent. While Blighty’s is reknowned for seafood, don’t hesitate to order meat; the Beef Tenderloin was delicious, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The decor had been updated since our last visit and the new lighting enhances Blighty’s intimate atmosphere. (We also enjoyed the new artwork, created by the multi-talented owner Richelle – is there anything she doesn’t do well?!) It all translates to a wonderful night out. For Victorians and visitors alike – not to be missed!
Superb. We were the first diners to arrive on Tuesday…but it quickly filled up. The wild mushroom flatbread was delicious with arugula salad. Butter chicken, stuffed fish and chips! And beef tenderloin were all perfectly prepared and presented. Creme brle was one of the best we’d had in Victoria – yet. The live music completed a fabulous night out for the girls.
