Ginger date cookies are extraordinary. Deeeeelish! (But $3 bucks a cookie? Yikes.)
Incredibly Unfriendly. I have been a patron of De’Lish for fours years and while I admit that the food is good, beautiful and the decor lovely, I must say that the service has drastically declined in the last two years. I am astounded at how rude some of the front line employees are, they do not smile, they are not inviting, they are not welcoming. I have taken my older mother and father to De’Lish and have been shocked at the lack of respect and courtesy they have been met with. I see elderly patrons go in and try to talk with the employees, maybe share a smile or a joke only to be met with an unsmiling gaze. It is actually very sad to see and raises some feelings of anger in me. I saw an elderly lady ask if she could perhaps pay in advance before her friend showed up so that it could be her treat. Her request was met with a stare and absolutely no accommodation – the girl was so unhelpful – it was such a small request, nothing crazy or insanely out of the ordinary. Surely the employee could have smiled and talked to her about her request no matter what the answer. I do see some people get great service at De’Lish – they all seem to know the owner. I think there need to be vast improvements in customer service for all patrons. It is depressing and demoralizing to order a latte from someone who looks right through you without even acknowledging you as a person. I hope my concerns are addressed.

So excited that I’ve found this place. Go, have anything, you will love it.Coffees, desserts, soups, quiches – all are amazing.Today I had the sweet potato and goat cheese quiche-like triangle of loveand the pain au chocolat sent directly to me from heaven. Enough said.
De’lish delightful !. In a city full of coffee shops mostly making fast, weak, frothy and expensive drinks, De’lish is a real find. This little gem hidden away in Oak Bay is fantastic. Great coffee made and served by someone who cares about how you like your favourite drink, fantastic baked goods and snacks and take home frozen gourmet dinners when you haven’t got time to cook. It hits the big 3 – great coffee, great food, great service…. will be going back regularly.
