Downhill. This restaurant was one of my favourites to meet a friend for lunch. The soups were great. The wicked Thai soup was yummy, but is now discontinued as it is a canned Campbell soup, the counter person explained….with attitude… the soups we carry are in-house HOMEMADE. I had the beef and potato vegetable soup. I am confident that if the soup could talk, it would have apologized for its lack of potatoes and for the one 2cm square of beef in the. Broth. There were so few vegetables that it was difficult to trap them on the spoon. The broth was tasty. This soup should have been called beef , potato, and vegetable broth. The bread accompaniment was dry, tasteless white flour bread. What a supreme disappointment. If you want this great location, don’t order the soup.

What a Major Disappointment – Service Has Deteriorated. When we lived in James Bay we visited the facility many times especially for the sumptuous breakfasts. Living in Sidney now means we haven’t visited for a while. We decided to revisit on Saturday March 07, 2015 but it was a major disappointment and we won’t go back. The view is wonderful but the choices and the service were terrible. We ordered two clam chowder soups and were delivered two cold bowls of potato soup. The clams must have gone somewhere else. When I remarked to the waitress that both soups were cold she reluctantly took them to be reheated remarking that their slow burner or cooker must have failed. The breads were stale and no butter or knives were provided. Spending nearly $15.00 for surly service and unappetizing meals means we will never go back. What a shame that the original facility has been converted to a cheap coffee house.

One of my favourite coffee shops! The baristas are friendly and always provide excellent service and the pastries are always delicious. With the great view all this place needs to improve is a renovation and a better brand of coffee.

A good place to study.. They have free wi-fi and students get 10% off. It’s comfy inside, there’s lots of room on the dog-friendly patio (milk-bones for sale inside), and few cafes that I know of can boast a setting right smack in the middle of a marina – that really gives the place character points. They have a basic offering of both hot and cold food items and a mini-menu of Starbucks beverages. It can get pretty busy despite its out-of-the-way location, so many of their food items sell out before the end of the day – come early for the best selection. The staff are usually agreeable and efficient, if not particularly friendly.

Meet Up. From time to time I pop in for a coffe and / or a bite and enjoy the water; the atmosphere and the food. I meet friends there now and again and we enjoy a leisurely stroll in the neighbourhood. Thank you.

A delicious cup of coffee in a comfy chair with a beautiful view of the boats and ocean. Perfect!
