Feeling of a neighbourhood dining favourite. Excellent food and attentive, pleasant service. Local ingredients. Recommend it and will go again.
One of the best Italian restaurants around! We’ve been here a few times and think the pasta is fantastic. The Gnocchi has to be the best I’ve had in North America! The restaurant offers the perfect setting for a nice meal in a fine dining atmosphere and really delivers both on portion and meal flavor! We were just in again tonight and enjoyed it again! Buon Appetito
What a lovely restaurant. Fabulous food. Talented wait staff with a good grasp of wine pairings. Generous chef who actually gave my a recipe…now can I ever reproduce the quality. I was truely impressed
Mixed feelings.. While in Rome! Had mixed feelings. Ordered quite a few menu items to share – the flan was not bad, the basic meat and potatoes main dishes – short rib was a bit dry and lack lustre. On the other hand, the croquettes were delicious as was the gnocchi. Really torn with this place. Half of the food we ordered was amazing, while the other half was so -so or less than so-so. For the price, I would expect all dishes to be better. Moral of the story: if you go, order the gnocchi. No complaints with that one.
Serendipity. We dropped by this restaurant tonight thinking we’d have a quick starter or two and a drink, after attending a local event. This place was a random pick, but a delightful one. It was one of the first hot days of the year, so we parked ourselves outside and watched the sun set. After looking at the interesting menu, we ended up sharing the sausage and pepper gnocci and a beet salad, both very good. Prosecco and a lovely valpolicella were suggested and were just the right choices with our meal. But it was the service that caught our attention . Both male servers were friendly, helpful and very personable. Matt made us laugh and told us a little about the restaurant and how he enjoyed being a part of the team. We will certainly be back and recommend this place to anyone wanting a dinner with fresh ingredients, free from pretention. Oh, and if the weather’s good and you like people and dog watching, sit outside!
This is one restaurant my wife and I return to again and again, and not just because it is in our neighborhood. The food is always good, the service can be hit and miss but when the fresh pasta is this good it is forgiveable. I highly recommend this restaurant. The zuchinni appetizer is one of our favorites and the gnocchi is amazing.
Loved it. First timers who went to Padella last night because it is in our friends new neighborhood. I can’t say enough great things about the place. Food, service, staff and ambience were excellent. These people care about what they do and it shows especially in the warmth and comfort of the food. Don’t go there if you are in a rush, go there for the slow, warm unwinding of a great meal , in a cozy location served by people who take pride in what they do exceptionally well!
