A cozy, welcoming coffee house serving local Drumroaster Coffee from Cobble Hill. Tucked away in the corner of Oak Bay Gate off Cadboro Bay Road. It invites you to relax and stay awhile. Books line a big bookcase, many by local authors. Posters advertise community events. The display case is full of vegan and gluten free options, many made in-house with designated gluten-free prep areas. The menu offers made-to-order sandwiches, wraps and daily soups. A salad was delivered to a nearby table and it was huge and looked fresh and appetizing. Taste is worth a visit to quietly peruse a book or two, enjoy the sunny patio, and nosh or sip on something delicious. A better option to support local.

Sure they serve good coffee and they have a really nice atmosphere inside but they charge too much for your espresso drinks! It’s a quiet place to do work but only if you sit by the window.
Very good coffee!. Being new in town I was pleased to find this coffee shop. It has tasty coffee for reasonable prices and it’s not part of a huge chain. I will continue to get my morning cup of java from them.
Awesome. Went to taste and had a awesome decaf extra hot latte. Owner Val was super friendly and the atmosphere is incredible. Highly recommend
Amazing Coffee & Gluten Free Treats. Val the owner makes the most amazing Gluten Free treats and sandwiches, a MUST try!The coffee is also the best I have had in Victoria, it is from Drumroaster in the Cowichan Valley. Great food, great coffee, great people!Check it out 🙂
