Great Take out. Had a wonderful Turkey Dinner take out from the Apple Tree last night. When we have take out, (fairly often) we have mostly dealt with Romeo’s……. Never again, we’ll get it from the Apple Tree. The Turkey was moist and as close to home cooked as you can get. It was ready when we arrived. I would highly recommend the Apple Tree for both take out and eat in. All the staff are the most pleasant people you’ll find in any Restraunt.02 Apr, 2014The place is busy. We eat at the Apple Tree at admirals walk at least once a week and have done so for 20 plus years. They are a great Family Restraunt , the food is delicious and the service is the best We’ve ever had anywhere. The place is always busy at meal times and that means a lot. You can’t get better value for your money. If you’re not satisfied they make it right. When you first enter, they make you so welcome, next they are right there to serve you and make you feel like family.27 Oct, 2013Great place for Good Food. We have been going to the Apple Tree every week for about 18 years. We have yet to be disappointed by the food or the service. There is a great atmosphere and the most attentive accommodating staff of any place we’ve eaten on our travels. Ignore any negative reviews and try it for yourself, breakfast, lunch or dinner……you will not be disappointed.

Good Home Cooking. I was in the restaurant a few days ago with my wife and two daughters, my wife and I had the turkey dinner which was great. My eldest daughter had chicken fingers and fries, she’s only 8 and a bit of an expert and was very happy. My youngest is only 4 and loved her pancakes. Great family restaurant, kids are welcome which is seems to be a less and less the case these days. We will be back.

Great Supper. I visited the Appletree about two weeks ago and tried their dinner special. The special came with ceasar salad, spaghetti and meatballs and cake for dessert. I normally do not eat this much for dinner but for under $20 I thought if I left a little it would be ok. I didn’t leave any! Dinner was very good and the service was pleasant and attentive. This is a new restaurant in my neighborhood and I will be back.

Lousy food, okay service. A colleague, whose opinion I once held in esteem, recommended the Apple Tree to be a great family restaurant. I recall the words phenomenal, and superb, peppered throughout the dialogue as he described several items on the menu…I ordered the clubhouse sandwich, which was bland and tasteless. It arrived with fries on the side that were reminiscent of the McCain frozen product. The service was average, but needless to say my meal was a disappointment.I have eaten a better clubhouse at other mediocre eateries, such as Smitty’s, and TGI Fridays south of the border.A couple of months later, some of my family decided to get together and dine out. Included in our party was my 88 year old grandmother; she said that she had heard good things about the Apple Tree from the women at her church. As you can imagine, I was not enthusiastic about returning for a second visit. This time, I opted to try their baron of beef sandwich, which of course came with those same awful french fries. From past experience, I know a baron of beef to be quite large, and filling. I received my dinner, and was immediately dissatisfied with the size of the sandwich. The bun was dry, and tasted stale, even after it had been toasted this remained evident. Inside was only a small bit of meat, no caramelized onions, no mushrooms, nothing else. The baron was finished in just a few small bites. I picked at the fries, and sipped my coffee while the others continued to eat; (I am not a fast eater by any means either).During our meal, a woman approached our table to get a look at my new born niece. Apparently she was the owner, or some sort of manager. She asked my sister in law if she could pick up the baby, and walk her around the restaurant. This seemed like a genuinely kind gesture. and the woman appeared quite nice, but really? (unfortunately the way things are now a day, you cannot trust anyone). On the bright side, they did have a Scot waiting tables in the section next to us: at least they’ve got something right! If the portions of food are indeed controlled for seniors as others have made mention to, I might suggest they try a separate seniors menu, and serve proper adult sized dishes. The quality could be improved upon here, but when the cost of a menu item is 10-12 dollars, there is little room for complaint. Two visits to the Apple Tree was plenty enough for me; I will not be eating here again.

Usually I always enjoyed everything about Appletree restaurant except the waffle my mom ordered. She’s ordered them before when the restaurant was in hillside mall they were sad looking they improved but the are frozen and they taste frozen. What do they do take them out of the freezer put them in the toaster. To make that experience even better they gave my mom heated up frozen strawberries. If you can get the fruit cup with fresh fruit why put warmed up strawberries in a bowl. We basically told the waitress to take them away the look awfull. It just blows me away that a restaurant would serve frozen waffles with frozen fruit

I have been a loyal customer of the Apple Tree for 20 years, and I must say it has always been a warm and inviting place to eat. The food is pretty standard fare, but its comfort food and homemade which is nice. My favorite item is the Eggs Benny, which always makes my mouth water!! Some people complain about smaller portions in other reviews, but I believe the restaurant has many senior citizens so portion control is a contributed factor. The Apple Tree has now relocated to Admirals Walk Mall in Victoria and I look forward to seeing them soon!
