The food and service are average. We ordered take-out and received no eating utensils, napkins, or napkins. The price was quite good though. That seems to be its one redeeming trait.
I really liked the karaage I had in my bento box. I was a little disappointed that the only lunch boxes they had forced a California roll on me. The roll ended up being a waste of food because avocado makes me sick. But I can’t fault them. The other rolls they have were good, good sushi rice.
Sushi island has good food at a reasonable price. We come here regularly and the sushi is delicious. We love getting the spicy yellow rolls, island rolls, and alaska rolls. The takoyaki and salads are good too. The teriyaki/donburis are okay. We’re not a fan of the ramen or spring rolls though. The service is always friendly. Every time we have dinner here, it’s been a good experience and we always leave satisfied.

This is by far the best sushi place in Victoria. It’s extremely affordable, compared to Azuma which is expensive and has small portions. Sushi Island has large portions for a fraction of the price. I come here all the time with my boyfriend; it’s our favourite restaurant. We always just order 4-5 different plates of rolls and share. Service and atmosphere are excellent and welcoming. A+
My girlfriend and I come here all the time, and we absolutely love it. Every time we have been here it has been fantastic, from the food, to the service, to the atmosphere. We have 0 things we’d like to change about this place. Tasty, large, and reasonably priced pieces of sushi, and quick and friendly service. By far the best Sushi place in Victoria
