Love the view, the wine is always great and the food has never been bad. It’s cool to drink the wine surrounded by the grapes that end up in the glass. Make a reservation and swing by for lunch, you won’t be disappointed!
Came here last weekend for the first time. Was so excited and ready to love this place. I looked at the menu ahead of time and saw they had vegan dishes, I was very excited.Upon arriving, the view is incredible. They have such a beautiful location. Best lake view out. We arrived at 6:30pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was full. You need reservations if you’re going to come here. We ordered: Vegetable charcuterie platter, vegetarian trio entree and lamb shoulder tomarack. I also got a glass of the odyssey white meritage since it was a recommended pairing with my entree. Shortly after ordering, our server brought bread, 3 types of butter and tasters of a mango coconut milk smoothie. The smoothies were amazing, soo delicious. My fianc tasted the butters and his favourite was the curry flavoured out of the apricot and plain. To start: The vegetable charcuterie was delicious, very flavourful and we loved it. Would order again.Main dishes: were surprisingly mediocre. My vegetarian trio seemed like it was seriously lacking seasoning and the mushroom risotto seemed like it was cooked in a hurry. The rice was broken and sticking together but the centre of every grain was slightly hard. Undercooked. Super shocking and disappointing. The bean cassoulet and veggies on the side were just really needing more seasoning. The cassoulet could’ve really benefitted from some fresh herbs. I appreciate that they put Himalayan pink salt on the tables instead of regular table salt :)My fianc said his lamb shoulder tomarack was good but not really special.Service was great. Our server, I think her name was Chrissy but I can’t remember. She was nice and had a cheerful genuine smile. We’re going to come back on a weekday because the restaurant was super full and as soon as a table left, it would fill up. So maybe the kitchen was understaffed, slammed? and hopefully better on a weekday?
