Unique and wonderful. This place is so quaint. They have British import foods- crisps, chocolate bars, chutneys etc and an amazing assortment of candies. For lunch, I love getting one of the cheese and fruit plates, with a cup of the soup of the day. Follow that with tea and scones with Devonshire cream and I am fully satisfied. This is a great place to bring out of town friends for lunch.
No matter what the soup of the day is, order it, you’ll thank me later. Also the candy store is every kid’s (and kid at heart’s) dream come true
SOUPER. This charming little store advertises as a Candy store…really you need to go for the soup. The rightfully proud owners including the soup chef are happy to share their secrets and the success but it really comes down to what is in the bowl. The red lentil soup was the best I have eaten and when the soup chef describes the exacting detail of preparation and the local farmers sausage that are part of the soup, you know why.. It is so worth it on a rainy, cold day..like today.
Amazing!. What is amazing is the selection of candy they have here and the atmosphere is wonderful as well. I agree, the store hours are terrible. I came down in May not knowing it was closed all month and was very disappointed to see the not on the door saying it was closed. I am hoping it’s open this Friday as I am bringing guests along this time. I have not eaten here as of yet but it sure smells good when you walk in.
A must visit. Nothing beats a cup of tea and a slice of pie from the Clayburn Candy Shop! Their hours are bizarre, and unreliable, but if you can catch them when they’re open, fill your boots with british candy, and have a cuppa tea.
Quaint, but terrible hours. The Clayburn Village Store is a staple. It has charming decor, delicious bites and lovely tea. The selection of traditional candy can’t be beat.Unfortunately the store hours are terrible. They are closed for the entire month of May and on every Sunday. I’d go there more frequently but unfortunately you never know when they’ll be open or if you’ll get down there and find a note on the door that they are away yet again
Best Food in Abbotsford. I dare say that this is the only restaurant in Abbotsford that does not suck. It’s a bit expensive and the service can be slow at times but the food is soooo goood!Real English food.
