Great first visit. What a pleasant surprise here at Oliver Gardens as we enjoyed a savoury and tasty meal. We tried some favourites of shangai noodles and ginger beef which were both well-prepared and seasoned without being too sickly sweet or over-sauced. The Jade Chicken, a house specialty, was interesting though perhaps a little lacking in depth…the additon of standard hot sauce really helped in this dish. Standard service and prompt attention rounded out our meal and for a small-town restaurant the decor was quite charming. We’ll certainly be back.
A must when in the OK. I keep hearing about this from friends who travel to the interior every year….this restaurant is a quaint mom & pop with fresh local ingredients that will keep you coming back !!Delicious offerings off the menu – the freshest OK ingredients – reasonable prices – a must go-to when your in town !
The answer to your prayers – smorg all you can eat and menu for fine cuisine. This family owned resturaunt was such a lucky find! As a lover of great food I found the food to be so fresh I had to question the owner if everything used was just picked ! I will be returning every time I am in the okanagan !
Best in the Okanagan for Sure!!. After reading the reviews posted here I had to take my family for a drive one afternoon just to go to Oliver to eat at the Oliver Garden Restaurant which is an hour and half drive from Kelowna where I live and let me tell you it was worth it! We just had the buffet, but they have a fairly good variety and what they have is all Quality. There is no fat or pieces of grizzle hidden under copious amounts of batter like most places, it was all nice lean meats. They have seafood as well, really good calimari not salty like most places and tender as could be. The deep fried prawns were crispy not greasy and just an ultra thin layer of batter not an inch of greasy batter and a tiny shrimp inside like you usually find. All the veggies in the dishes were nice ,crisp and fresh. There was just too many good dishes there to write about. The dinner buffet starts at 5pm Fri, Sat and Sunday and they open at 4pm, closed Mondays. The restaurant itself was very clean, nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly. Come on Chinese food places in Kelowna WAKE UP and take notice of how a restaurant should be run, There ‘s no place in Kelowna that I know of that serves Buffet food of this caliber and thats sad for a town of this size!!
Amazing!. This place is great. I didn’t know what to order when I first went in and it must have showed on our faces that that our table had no idea what to order haha… So then nice Chinese lady at the front came over to the table and pretty much helped us order our whole meal.That was the best decision of my trip!!! the food was amazing; flavor spot on.The things you need to try at this place:Jade Chicken, Tomato Fired Rice, Cantonese Chow Mein and Egg Rolls:)
Best chinese restaurant in the okanagan. Best chinese restaurant hands down and on the weekend they have a buffet. Highly recommend if you are in the area to drop by and check it out.
