I was recently in this place as had been there before for years. Got serviced by some new Iranian staff there that didn’t seem to be in the least interested in customer care. Also knew nothing – nor cared – about the products. Was afraid the place was sold and its demise near. Luckily this is not true. Just heard these people don’t work there anymore. Knew Arno the founder personally: he would have never tolerated any of this!! Let’s give them another chance and good luck! Will be back to check on things, hope things will be all good again!!
A friend of mine needed some help getting errands done. One of those errands were to get some meats to host a dinner/bbq. I was told to come here. This was my first time here and it’s a very clean setup. They have a selection of fresh deli meats and sausages. Another section is dedicated to cheese’s, and I love the variety. On the dry shelving units they have sauces, dried pastas, oils, and breads. Very convenient indeed. To my surprise after purchasing a large amount of proteins, I noticed some smoked pork bones for dogs! I bought one for my furry husky pup, and he loved it! Would I come back again? Yes and infact I would recommend everyone I know to support black forest. They have won numerous awards as well. There was a gentlemen in line that ordered the pork schnitzel sandwich with saukraut, and it looked amazing!
They’ve got good cold cuts and sausages, great housemade sauerkraut and red cabbage, yummy potato salad, and a well stocked deli section. I just don’t like their goulash, rouladen, or schnitzels very much…. My mom makes these 1000 times better!
Great little deli in royal park mall. Mostly German stuff. Amazing lunch is $8.29 for a soup and sandwich. Pick your meats and go. I had the corned beef on rye, big meat, and the farmers soup was unreal. Great deal for a quick lunch!
