Won’t be coming back…… Initially thought the quirky atmosphere was a good sign….proven wrong by the end of the meal. While they did have a great alternate menu for gluten/dairy free diners, that didn’t make up for the food, or the fruit flies that swirled around us througout the evening. The peppercorn sauce on the salmon special was inedible – had to scrape it off to eat the dish. The tandoori chicken was anything but real tandoori, and the vegetables were ho hum – not what you’d expect mid-summer in the bountiful Okanagan Valley. I hear they have good entertainment, although it wasn’t on the night we went. I can only imagine that is the entertainent that keeps this place open..
Well food is food almost anyone with half a brain can make good food. Creating atmosphere that warms the heart – now that’s a skill . Our food was great and the staff were really attentive and helpful – what marks them out is thier live music events – this place is one of the Okanagans best kept secrets – get tickets to an event
Pricier but worth it. Absolutely delicious crab cakes!!!! Service was nice and there is a beautiful atmosphere. They were about to close when we came but she patiently served us anyway. Would return in a heart-beat!
A co-worker recommended this place. It outdid all of our expectations! We went for lunch so it was quiet and the service was quick. Great price for delicious paninis and wraps. Loved the roasted veggie salad. My thirsty beaver was satisfied. Looks like an awesome place for a concert. We’ll be back!
Mmm. Were there yesterday.and the crab cakes were on special. Dont’t get me wrong, the cakes were great, but the grilled veggie salad was fantastic. Lots of flavour, cooked just right – enough to bring out the sweetness of the onion, the earthiness of the cauliflower, etc without leaving anything raw or burnt. The dressing was good too. Usually we have brunch (okay breakfast fir lunch); but now we will have to consider everything else on the menu…ah, what a delicious prospect.
Excellent choice!. To the advice, from this site, and booked dinner on a night with live entertainment. Really…first rate! The place was sold out. Great menu and service. Reasonable prices for the food provided. Make certain that you book ahead or you’ll be disappointed.
My Fav. This is my favourite restaurant in Penticton! Several reasons 1. I have tried just about everything on the menu and loved it all 2. The owner is a jolly hippy who really takes care of his customers 3. The atmosphere is very inviting and intimate. 4. I recommend going on a night with live music the entertainment is always a pleasant surprise. 5. prices are reasonable and good lunch deals
