This used to be the place to go for cheap wings once a week- a multitude of flavors. Hope it’s still as good as it was four years ago! If so, 100% worth it.
The Jolly CoachmanHarris ‘n Ford (not the actor) Thank god for my old standby, I was getting HANGRY. The Missus and I were over the bridge in Langley shopping (total waste of time), and we decided to try to find an inexpensive place to go for a bite and failed miserably so we wound up back on this side frustrated and hungry, time for someplace we know we’ll get decent grub at a fair price. Enter the Coachman. We’ve been going here regularly for years and although it can get a bit crowded and loud at times you can always count on a decent daily special. As you can tell by the picture I scored big time tonight, steak and prawns with baked potato and Caesar salad for 15 bucks! Oh what a glorious feast, the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare as ordered, the potato came loaded with sour cream, chives, and real bacon bits, the salad was great but the best part was the juicy garlic butter smothered prawns. Seriously, where can you get this kind of food for such a good price? Well here obviously. The Missus had the Fish ‘n Chips, always a good deal, even at full price but it’s even better when it’s on special on Mondays. I had a Coke, I don’t drink, but the Missus had one of their monster sized Caesars with her dinner and altogether our bill, taxes included, came to only $40. An amazing value for the money and for that reason I give them a very respectful 4 out of 5 stars. Sure you can get a better steak for twice the price at a fancy restaurant but we’ll keep going back to the Jolly Coachman, at least we can always count on them for a good meal at a decent price.
The girl that serve me were really good, same cant be said about the food or the atmosphere. This is not the place I would visit again…Too much drama among staff and ownership.
