Google told me that Monday is the most popular day of the week to go to Coppertank, but it was lying: our group of 10-12 was probably the only group there!But it’s not that it was a Monday, because Elwood’s next door seemed to be pretty full.In any case, nothing to complain about – less people meant we got good service, and their food was good too. They had a special on the poutine ($6) and some beer. I shared a plate of chicken tenders with some friends – nice crispy chicken, and comes with a huge portion of very well made fries. I also tried some of their garlic fries – really garlicky by the way!What they’re really known for, is their tank-sized nachos; I had that the last time I was here. It’s pretty big, and is served on tortilla, so the plate is edible too!

I tipped on top of that without knowing the gratuity had been added. If I had known, I would have left it at the 15%. When I said something, the waitress just shrugged her shoulders and said we were expected to pay. Drinks were well over priced, service not worth15% gratuity, let alone 30%. Feel totally ripped off and taken advantage of. Never will I step foot in that establishment again. Shameful practice.

Award winner for worst pint of guiness. Also food is flat, effortless, and pretty much tragic.
$3 for an iced tea? To improve the burgers try toasting the bun and some greener lettuce to add colour and make it look a lot more appetizing.
Awesome drink specials, fun atmosphere, friendly service. This place did a complete turn around in the past year.
