It was my 3rd time at Dharma Kitchen and every time I had a different and absolutely delicious dish. The Miso Gravy is to die for. I’m thankful that they don’t fry anything, so the dishes are all really (!) healthy. You can also have a conversation without yelling at each other since the music is nice and quiet. Altogether one of my Vancouver favourites.
The service here was great, and they have large portions with good variety. The water is also fruit flavored. However, thought the food was a bit too salty for my taste.
We had lunch at the Dharma Kitchen today and loved it’s fun, colorful space. The waiter was so nice and attentive, you could tell he really cared about our experience and even brought us free Chai’s to sample at the end of our meal (best chai tea I’ve ever had!). Food was really yummy, healthy and satisfying. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants delicious but healthy food. Vegetarian but really good selection, good if you’re gluten free like me and perfect for lunch or dinner. It’s the exact type of food I’d crave after a run or a yoga class 🙂
My favourite vegan restaurant.. Granted I have not tried a ton of vegan places in Vancouver, this place is still one of my favourite restaurants period. First of all the food is consistently fresh and flavourful. The salads are large and satisfying, as are the burgers (served with side of potatoes with miso gravy), and rice bowls as well. Secondly they have a good selection of earth-friendly drinks, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. The interior is warm and inviting. The service meanwhile can be a bit hit or miss but the owner/manager is friendly and will explain the menu for newcomers. Definitely check this place out for some healthy and delicious plant-based food.
Inconsistent service but yummy plates and cozy place!. Love: Lemongrass Tofu, Free Tibet Bowl, NuCao Bowl. Always guilt-free dining here. And although the interior leaves me far from impressed (nice effort with the decor and music though), the tasty vegan dishes make up for it – just make sure you have enough time for it though! Food takes a little longer to arrive, so I always order a juice/smoothie while waiting. However, last time I went with a group the owner served us complimentary hot chai tea during the wait! Kudos. While the owner seems like nice enough guy, I wasn’t too impressed with the server whom I was greeted by during my lunch break visits – too casual, slow-moving, lethargic, somewhat unprofessional but at least he wasn’t mean-spirited and still got the food to me; albeit, he almost overcharged me (say $26 for $16 meal) yet the caveat being I couldn’t be really sure whether it was an honest mistake or if he thought I was gullible enough to think my one dish could cost more than twenty… In other words: You’ll probably have the best experience with the owner around and a friend or two or more to chat whilst waiting for some tasty and colourful vegetarian dishes. I’ll be back thanks to its convenient location (personally) and menu!
