Decorated with the intention of a really cosy vibe. We went here yesterday for the 47c wings. I was not entirely impressed because the wings were really small and there was not much meat. The atmosphere had a great pub vibe, but I didnt enjoy the wings- I would have like it more if it was plated more nicely. The bartender joked around with us, but unfortunately, he spilled some drink on us, which annoyed some of my friends. Nonetheless, the overall cost of the bill was very decent!
My partner and I have just moved into the Kits neighbourhood, and we decided almost immediately that this would be our local. They have a great dive-y atmosphere, and killer burgers to boot (try the one with Guinness, it will leave you so full and satisfied it may hurt a little bit). The music is loud (but usually awesome throwback punk rock), and the staff is super helpful and really sweet. I definitely recommend checking this out. Oh, and the $4 drink deal doesn’t suck as well!
Went there for the unlimited fish and chips on Thursdays and was utterly disappointed. The first serving was just ok. The subsequent serving was horrible . It’s like it got worse every round . Almost as if they were discouraging you to eat more. On my third and final round I literally got a burnt 3 inch piece of fish . At the end of it all one of the waiters told me to finish up my fries, even though I mentioned not to serve me any . Never going back for the fish & chips . Disappointing cause it’s actually a decent place
Decent food selection, good service, and decent prices. These are some of the traits of some of this drinking establishment. Although they do have some room for improvement with their beer selection.
I will never return to Elwood’s Pub in Kitsilano again nor do I recommend anyone else take the chance of going there. I am rating it as Zero. Terrible and awful all around. Very ghetto and far below any standards , from the staff all the way to the food, service and entire ambiance. Clean up a bit Elwood’s.
9 Dressed Up As A 3. Love the food here. Friday night’s buck a shuck are the best deal in town. Always fresh and usually Royal Miyagi and they run out so go early.Also love their burgers, they are right up there with the best in the city. Good beer selection. Sunday night steak and fries are only 5.50 and it’s better than the $10 steak I would buy at the grocery store. Seriously this is a great place for cheap eats and the staff are all terrific. Kinda love it here.
Great Specials. Went here for wing night (Tuesdays) with some friends. The wings were 33 cents, and were pretty good. Lots of really good craft beer on the menu for reasonable prices, including some you can’t generally find at bars. Their craft beer specials are good as well. I had a pint of Hoparrazi for only $4. Definitely going to have to go back one monday for their mussels special
