Absolutely shameful display. Imagine you walk in and are ignored for about 5 to 10 minutes. You see one of the waitresses counting her tips at a table, and the second waiter is playing on his phone. It just gets awkward for everyone, so you leave. If this is how you love being treated, then Gargoyles is for you!
Fun local hangout. We visited Gargoyle’s for the first time recently, and were very impressed. Comfy booths, excellent service, and the food was a great deal – we shared bacon scallops, sambal-sake prawns and tuna bites, and all were excellent (especially the tuna). Definitely a cut above your average pub grub. There are also great weekday specials on both food and drink. One of the nice things was that this seemed to be a real locals’ spot where a lot of people knew each other. Unpretentious and enjoyable – we’ll be back.
