I love the Ginger & Chili. It’s been my Chinese go-to for years. Fresh, clean, no msg, beautifully prepared food at very reasonable cost – I like everything about it. I’m posting now because there are no recent reviews & they’ve just moved two doors down the street so they now have an upstairs & an outdoor patio too. Highly recommended. Enjoy!

Review. The worst service i had , that service lady is very impatient and frustrated with the costumers. Not only that the service was horrible, the food is the worst ever! The worst Chinese food that i ever tasted!!!

Very disappointing. We ate there on Oct.14 and this was simply the worst Chinese food. We ordered the lunch specials(Chicken chow mien and Shanghai special). We were supposed to get spring rolls but were served 2 greasy generic egg rolls with sauce in plastic containers. The food arrived and was nothing like the waitress described. The chicken chow mien had a few scrapings of chicken and nothing else but greasy noodles. There were no bean sprouts.no onion no,celery, no carrots or no broccoli. Just a pile of greasy brown noodles devoid of any vegetable matter. The Shanghai special looked the same- absolutely no vegetables and a few crumbles of maybe pork. We did not want to complain as we are from the USA so we asked for doggy bags as it all tasted like rancid oil. AWFUL!!!!! Don’t go there. We were glad we didn’t get food poisoning. When the waitress put down the food she quickly turned away because I think she was embarrassed serving us food that bad. She was nice so we still tipped her but I think she was kind of dishonest about what we were supposed to be served.

Most Appalling Service I Have Ever Received. I have just had the most appalling experience with this restaurant. A day after receiving a take out order I had the restaurant banging on my front door, and even try to open the door, because the delivery person had charged me $10 too little for the order (they keyed in the amount to the credit card terminal so I had no idea at the time… I just paid the amount he said) and they were demanding that I pay, saying I owed the restaurant money. The amount they were demanding was $4 (they took the $6 tip I gave them off my debt!). The person who came to my door was extremely aggressive, even though I tried to explain that the mistake was on the part of the delivery person. Of course I would be more than happy to pay the full amount – I had received and enjoyed the service after all, but the rudeness and aggression of the ‘debt collector’ was totally unacceptable – especially for such a small amount ($4!!), that was missed due to an oversight of the restaurants part. I have always enjoyed the food from there in the past, but I will never, EVER, be giving them my service or money again.

Back on top. We’ve been eating here for 10 plus years. They kinda went down hill a couple of years ago, but our friends ate their awhile back and said it was delish. We went back for a birthday gathering last night and are very happy to say it is back to being the excellent food from when we first found it. Will be our go to Szechuan restaurant once again!!!

Consistently good. G&C is the best closest Chinese restaurant to where I live. It’s good for a change of pace if you get tired of Cantonese. I like the orange peel chicken and the ginger beef. The beef chow mein is good. I like going to the restaurant to eat, but takeout is another story. I don’t usually bother with the door buzzer, but have delivery people call my cell and I go down to pick it up. They took down my number wrong this time. So by the time they figured it out, I went downstairs to find an angry man squatting in front of my door. He lost his cool and yelled at me about the buzzer. This made a bad impression. Where’s the customer service? A polite mention would have been much better.

Tried it for the first time and was very disappointed. All dishes were liberally dosed with cornstarch and gloppy. Ginger beef was flaccid and tasteless. Prices were $2-$3 more per dish than other local restaurants. We will not be going back.
