Found the sushi and food terrible and the sushi rice unseasoned. Our maki rolls were so tightly rolled that the rice was mush. Very disappointing food…

So excited to find a whole Anago Don here. I have always been an Unagi fan. This is the first time coming to this restaurant. We ordered the Anago Don, Uni Don, the Yakitori, the Engawa Sashimi and the snapper Sashimi. Their ingredients were pretty fresh. Sashimi were on the pricier side, but very good quality. The only thing I dont like is that all the dishes, including the Anago and the sushi rice a bit too sweet to my taste.
Came here for dinner one night with my boyfriend. Very good sushi for reasonable prices. You definitely get your money’s worth. Only thing was that service was a bit slow and you’d have to flag down the server if you wanted to order. Regardless, I would definitely still come back if I get the chance!
Great little place with high quality food! I had the salmon sashimi and Tuna aburi- I’d recommend both dishes! They have gluten free options for those who are celiac. The service was lovely too!
Great food and excellent service! I love classic Japanese operated sushi restaurants… and this is one of them… it is hidden in the this little commercial strip in the residential area but it is a must go especially if you are a sushi lover! Fresh fishes prepared perfectly with a sushi rice that is flavourful but not overpowering. Both the fish and rice break apart in your mouth creating a balanced taste. Come and try for yourself… love how they give you a pack of pocky sticks to take home!
I’m a big, big sushi fan and this is some of the best I’ve found in Vancouver, worth traveling across the city for. The place is small and nothing fancy, but the servers are soooo personable and the food is soooo good.
Good friendly service, small place, good sashimi, the rice is not the traditional Japanese sushi, a healthier twist instead which makes it a bit harder. Will skip the tempura next time because it didn’t taste like traditional tempura. It was probably done a healthier way and not deep fried like how tradition way. The end product is dryer and harder. Cozy seating and friendly staff. Chocolate pokey sticks with the check was a nice touch.
The best sushi in the west end , in my opinion. I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years and they’ve been consistent every single time I come here. Quality is amazing and you don’t have to spend a fortune to eat here. Their unagi is perfection and I love their salmon and tuna belly as well, always fresh and all…
