Awesome little sushi place, great prices, fresh, good size portions. All the salmon is wild and the rolls are great. Tonnes of sashimi and nigiri for cheap too.

Low quality. We usually order from nicks sushi on 4th but its closed on mondays. we noticed that hoshi had about the same rating so we thought we’d give them at a try. The service was friendly and fast but we were quite disappointed in the grade / quality of sushi. fish was kind of dry. Toro had no flavor and there was too much rice to the thin piece of fish. sorry hoshi but we are going back to nick.

Beef udon was simple and tasty, glad they served it with togarashi tho… Oyster motoyaki ruined my meal, mushrooms not cooked enough, cream sauce was broken and wwwaayyy too oily yuck. Friend had yakisoba which was ok, but alot of five spice.. Could of been better…

Good deal, favourite neighbourhood sushi. My partner and I have figured out over time that going there is a better deal than any of the other nearby sushi places we’ve been to. The service is consistent enough, the portion/price ratio is fantastic (especially compared to the place a couple blocks over that charges for extra ginger…are you kidding me?!). The udon serving is huge and my partner’s favourite thing to order from there. The quality of the fish they use may not be supreme, but it’s fresh nevertheless. The avocado rolls are consistently packed with nice big hunks of perfectly ripe avocados, which definitely won me over.Good enough that we go there a little more often than we should!

Sewage-y Taste. I ordered japanese because I really wanted some udon. It was bland and smelt like the ocean. Not exactly appetizing, but I figured they’re more of a sushi roll place (given the menu), so I tried those. I literally spat out the piece of dragon roll. I even tried it again just in case it was remnants of the udon that wasn’t mixing, but couldn’t finish that bite either. I don’t know what they did here, but I’m really disappointed. I would never go back and am frankly kind of pissed it cost me $25 before tip.

Really good sushi! there were tons of stuffing and they even custom made me a roll – crab meat and prawn. also the chicken teriyaki is so good too! Will def return! Highly recommend!!!

Good Kits Sushi. Small, thin place at Broadway and McDonald. Really good sushi. Love the deep fried Phoenix roll and the Rainbow roll is excellent too. We have ordered many times from here to take to the beach. Ah, sushi on the beach!
