Always a reliable place for really good sushi and dollar for dollar, as good as many $$$$$ places. Their fish is always fresh, John is always very generous in his portions (at least to us), and the service is good, consistent, and always pleasant. I have never had a bad meal here.

Wonderful! I too have had t…. Wonderful!I too have had the pleasure of dining in Japan as well as *many* sushi restaurants in Vancouver and Irori is absolutely in my top three. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is impeccable, my partner and I eat here at least once a week (sometimes more) and we have never left disappointed. Try the Ama Ebi (ask for the crispy shrimp heads, they are delicious!) and their soft shell crab rolls are delicious too! Enjoy!
Highly reccomend!. I Love this place! The chef is a master in being consistent with the quality that he presents his food! Professional, clean, great service, humble, exceptional food so I don’t mind paying slightly more than most Japanese restaurants to get so much more… I am a big fan and I highly recommend them!
Lovely place, terrible food. This restaurant is nicely designed and the service was impeccable, but what lousy Japanese food. My agedashi tofu was like small bits of brick, the maki were tasteless and the sushi rice dry. My dining companion found the tempura udon bland, with the tempura the consistency of tree bark. All round a grade of D on the food, though it is certainly a pretty place. Can’t believe people raving about it here. After six years in Japan, I know what this is and there’s only one word for it: muck.
