Excellent but expensive meal. We shared a plate of different yummy goodies, including smoked pork tongue, procuiutto, Buratta cheese, aronccini, picked veggies, roasted cauliflower and it was spectacular. The portions aren’t huge but then it is supposed to be tapas after all. We also ordered the linguine al bianco, which was also delicious. With a second order of aronccini, a half litre of Multipulciano, a lemon creme dessert (to live for) and an almond tart, all in it cost $128,00. Like I said, not cheap, but very, very good. For a real splurge, try La Quercia, next door, it’s sister restaurant. It’ll break the bank but it’s worth every penny!
Pretentious. The wine and food is very good, and it is Kits after all; but still, I felt like the guy serving us had no use for us. The menu is mostly in Italian, and it seemed like the server was annoyed when I asked what some of the dishes were. I’m cultured, I’ve been to Italy, I’ve ate at la Quercia, Cioppinos, Quattro, I know what an arancini is; but I still was made to feel like a simpleton.Wine is $12+ for a glass. The tasting platters are a fair size, and decently priced. I ordered a Gorgonzola filled fig wrapped in speck – it cost $8 for the one fig.I can justify paying those prices for good food and wine, but not for snooty service.
