I stopped by Olympia Pizza for lunch this Wednesday. I had the large version of their Lasagna Olympia (details below), which I quite enjoyed. The price was also quite reasonable. Service wise, the lady at the front of the house wasn’t really the friendliest – I found her to be a bit cold and stoic – but she was quite attentive and kept my water glass filled. While I’m personally not the biggest fan of lamb or souvlaki, I do hope to return again in the future to try their pizzas.Lasagna Olympia (Large, $14.5):3.5/5This came with a piece of delicious crispy garlic toast. The lasagna was topped with a generous layer of melted cheese, as well as sour cream. I absolutely LOVED the topping; the cheese was rich and gooey while the sour cream added a nice bit of tang. The noodles were cooked to my liking, being reasonably tender but not mushy. I did not really care much for the meat sauce however; it was a bit watery and I personally didn’t think it tasted much better than the frozen lasagnas from the grocery store. Even though the portion didn’t look that big, it was quite filling and left me very full.

Good food but terrible service. My friend and I were standing in the doorway and the waitress just stared at us, no greeting at all. We smiled at her and asked for a table for two. She told us to sit wherever we want, still no smile or greeting. We ordered our food and while waiting, people came in after us. They all got their food before us. After we paid for our bill, the waitress didn’t thank us or say bye. She only asked if we wanted out receipt and left. I know she wasn’t just having a bad day because she was clearly having full on conversations with other customers and friendly to them. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence but we were Asian and she was only friendly to Caucasian customers. The lamb souvlaki was awesome. Food was good but because of the terrible service and feeling so unwanted, I won’t be returning.
