Overpriced, with cranky service. Okay selection of items, but London Drugs sells some of the items for less and I can get most of the other items on Main Street, Fraser or Commercial Drive for 25-50% less. The cashier seemed unmoved by my politeness, and responded by being rude. I guess she doesn’t like it when people smile and say please and thank you …?
The baked chicken is out of this world, and it only costs 7$ with two sides. You really can’t beat the value.
The Very Best… Marvelous service, quality and prices. A real tribute to Kyriakos !
Sooooooup!
Baclava. Best in van.
I’ve been coming to this store ever since I can remember. They have THE BEST FETA in town, Dodonis and Goat all the way, don’t forget about the humus, which is homemade and amazing! yumm.,..Owner is the nicest man ever. Always smiling and willing to help with any question you have. :)They carry a huge variety of everything you need in your kitchen and so on Friendly staff who are also very happy to help and always smiling hehe
Good Greek grocery. They have a deli and you can get food to eat right there, but I haven’t done that, aside from the occasional Greek pastry. (A bit more sodden/less fresh than I would have liked.)*I stopped by again in April 2013 for a baklava and it was fresh and walnutty-tasting. Maybe Parthenon changed recipes, or I caught a fresher batch of bakka. Good deal at $1.75 for a large triangle. This is really more of a grocery store, and it’s fantastic for that. Anything Greek that you might desire, a you’d expect, but lots of other good Mediterranean items. Clean inside, too. (Face it, a lot of ethnic markets are kinda grotty.) It’s good enough that my wife and I drive across town to shop there when we want Greek stuff.P.S. I’m glad Parthenon re-opened after the latest arson fire, instead of just giving up. Whoever keeps burning this place down, I wish they’d stop. In April 2013, it looks nice after the rebuild. No smoky smell, either.
